The Oxventure Guild (also known as The Samesies Crew and The Charismatic Cheat Friends) is a ragtag group of adventurers, whose alignment is very much unsettled. They are the main characters of the Oxventurers Guild D&D campaign.

Founding[]

The Oxventure Guild was founded by Corazón de Ballena (then known as Corazón de León), the Human Rogue Pirate, Dob the half-Orc bard, Merilwen the Wood-Elf Druid , and Prudence the Tiefling Warlock, after the events of The Spicy Rat Caper.

As the party returned the Spicy Rat Boy back to his father, after turning him back into a boy, they commemorated the 'successful' adventure by establishing the guild.

Adventures[]

The team has weathered many adventures with varying degrees of success.

Corazón de Ballena[]

Corazón is a human pirate rogue, a would-be heir to the Milquetoast family legacy who ran away from his high society life to pursue a life of freedom and adventure. He is in essence the leader of the guild, as he was the first to suggest to a few strangers to group up and solve the mystery of Arlo Mayweather's missing son, and soon after in celebration of their achievement, hailed their teamwork with great jubilation.

The day after, in a local tavern, he made the momentous proposition to officially form the guild so that they may protect one another from any danger that may come along - and he was definitely not at all planning on leaving them on that day.

Merilwen[]

Merilwen is a wood-elf druid, a hunter by trade, and a strong ally of animals and nature in general, with a morally neutral disposition. It is unknown why she visited Casterfalls, though whatever her reason may be, that decision has lead her to form a loving friendship with folks she'd nary thought she could befriend, such as a chicken-kicking human and a tiefling.

Soon enough, she has established herself the treasurer of the group, and a definite powerhouse when she deems it necessary.

Dob[]

Dob is a half-orc bard, and before joining the guild, he was a wandering bard at that. He has since travelled far from town to town hoping in vain that in his lifelong search he would one day find his beloved sister, who was missing since he was but a child. It was in this single-minded pursuit that he would come across the others in Casterfalls, low in funds and looking for work more profitable than his music could provide.

Sporting a strong moral compass, though with dubious extremes and blurry lines, Dob in spite of his unorthodox mindset has since established himself as the guild's main striker, if he feels like it, and the main source of their migraine with his bewildering plans.

Prudence[]

Prudence is tiefling warlock, and a proud card-carrying herald of doom. After a harrowing childhood incident, Prudence soon after made a pact with a Great Old One, The Sleeper of R'lyeh, Cthulhu, becoming his most loyal and prominent cultist. Before meeting the others, she simply did bidding for her patron, which sometimes included rituals and sacrifices, but more often than not had her rearranging the furniture of any known place in an arcane fashion.

Establishing herself as the evilest member of the group, Prudence takes absolute glee in any chaotic activity the guild partakes in, and regularly encourages it.

Egbert[]

Egbert is a golden scaled dragonborn paladin of Le Dragon d'Or, who in his time has accrued the title Egbert The Careless, referring to an event in his past that would soon find him banished and seeking atonement. Whatever he has done, he's rather secretive about the matter. What little is known about this surprisingly enigmatic man is that at some point he was once human, though the exact details of his metamorphosis have not been revealed, but was once likened to puberty.

He joined the guild after meeting Corazón and the others in a pub during A Spot of Bother.

History[]

Four adventurers individually converged in the town of Casterfalls, officially meeting in front of a notice board reading the same advertisement calling for adventurers. Soon they would then be picked for the same job by Arlo Mayweather's servant, taken inside and hired by the man himself to help figure out why his son had gone missing. But they soon uncover a dastardly scheme by the gnome druid M. Channail.

This incident was the catalyst for the formation of the Oxventurers, that soon received the arrival of a new friend in a certain dragonborn paladin to embark in epic adventures in the land of G'eth.

Trivia[]

  • Come Heist Society, The Oxventure Guild got itself an alias, Team Chaos Team. They have since then coined many team names for themselves.
  • As of Exhibition Impossible, it has been over a year, and close to two for the guild being together as Panniers states he has been inside of the whale for almost that much time.
  • The Guild reached Level 10.
